“... the influence and the impact of the Fair upon the community’s life has been very great.  The call of the ideal has constantly been going out from it.  A silent but no less salutary appeal has been made year in and year out to all alike on the farms and in the homes to do better.  To rear a better horse; to produce a better cow, hog or sheep; to make a finer mat and cook a better cake; to grow better potatoes, turnips, carrots and corn; to have a better farm and garden – to reach the ideal if possible: that, through a hundred years, is what the Stanley Fair has been silently, successfully, and effectively doing.  And surely this is something worth doing.”

~  And so 63 years after that was written we are still calling for the “ideal”.  It’s never too early to start planning your exhibits for the 2013 Stanley Fair.  The new edition of the Exhibitor’s Guide will soon be available.
